Midland Pacific Executives Join Industry Leaders at Pacific Coast Builders Conference
ATASCADERO − Midland Pacific Homes was well represented at the annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference held in early June at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The conference was produced by the California Building Industry Association and attracted several thousand attendees, including Midland Pacific CEO Dennis Moresco and company executives Reed Harris, John Theisen, Jeff Foster, Jon Wickstrom and Dawn Stowe. One of the highlights of the annual event is a gala dinner at which industry leaders are inducted into the California Building Association’s Hall of Fame. Moresco was named to the Hall of Fame in 2005, joining four other industry leaders in receiving the association’s most prestigious honor. This year’s inductees included Santa Barbara architect Barry Berkus. The conference unfolded over four days and included sessions on new urbanism, green building and marketing trends and consumer behavior, along with an extensive exhibit floor showcasing more than 700 companies’ home building products. Keynote speakers included Fareed Zakaria, international editor for Newsweek; Clayton Christensen of the Harvard Business School and Kevin Kelley, whose firm credits include the redevelopment of Charleston, South Carolina, the marketing concept behind Whole Foods and the rebranding of Harley Davison Motorcycles. “The PCBC is the premiere event for the homebuilding industry,” said Moresco. “It brings together our most innovative thinkers and newest products and provides us an opportunity to hear from international leaders about trends shaping our industry,” he concluded.
Midland Pacific Homes is an Atascadero-based home builder that has constructed more than 1,000 homes in its 30 years of central coast operation. Current projects include neighborhoods in Atascadero, Paso Robles and San Miguel. |
