 ‘Four Seasons Cooking with Friends’ Benefit for North County Women’s Shelter Debuts July 22

Midland Pacific Foundation supports with pledge of $15,000 matching grant

ATASCADERO — The Friends of the North County Women’s Shelter will kick off the first of four fundraising events on July 22 with “Four Seasons Cooking with Friends,” an event offering specialty foods, wine tasting and a cooking lesson. “Four Seasons Cooking with Friends” will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Idler’s North County Appliance Showroom. The event will be an Emeril-style cooking showcase featuring guest chef Jill Ogorsolka of Trumpet Vine Catering in Paso Robles. Proceeds will benefit the North County Women’s Shelter to help end domestic violence. The Midland Pacific Foundation, a part of Midland Pacific Homes, has pledged a $15,000 matching grant to funds raised by the Four Seasons series. Admission to the Four Seasons is $50, with a limited number of $100 VIP tickets available, allowing attendees to sit front row and receive full plates of the specialty menu foods. All patrons will have the opportunity to sample delicacies produced by the acclaimed Ms. Ogorsolka, as well as enjoy area wines and foods including olive oils, artesian breads, gourmet cheeses and tapas as part of the festivities. There will be three more events to follow as part of the “Four Seasons” fundraising series. Each event will follow the décor, food and ambiance for the next three seasons of the year. Chefs will include Anthony “Tony” Farao from Village Caffe in Atascadero, André Averseng from Dining with André in Paso Robles and Charles PaladinWayne, owner of Catering by Chef Charlie. The Friends of the North County Women’s Shelter request attendees purchase tickets in advance. A limited number will be available at the door. VIP tickets have sold quickly, but a few of the ringside-seat tickets are still available. Tickets can be purchased at the North County Women’s Resource Center business offices located at 7360 El Camino Real in Atascadero or at Idler’s at 2361 Theatre Drive in Paso Robles
