Midland Pacific Homes Wins Top Honor
Named “Business of the Year” by Atascadero Chamber of Commerce
ATASCADERO— Midland Pacific Homes has been named “2007 Business of the Year” by the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. The honor was announced at the Chamber’s recent installation dinner held at the Atascadero Lake Pavilion. Midland Pacific was recognized for over 30 years of excellence in the building industry, for their community involvement and the dedicated leadership of owners Dennis and Patty Moresco. A graduate of Cal Poly with a degree in architecture, Dennis Moresco decided to build his family’s first home in 1979 on the Central Coast and never looked back. Today, San Luis Obispo County is dotted with more than 1,000 Midland Pacific Homes as well as many high profile commercial projects, including Midland’s new Tuscan style company headquarters, located on Morro Road in Atascadero. In announcing the award, Chairman of the Board, Mary Arnold commented on Midland Pacific’s support for dozens of community causes. The Midland Pacific Foundation has granted matching funds in support of the AVID program at Atascadero High, SkillsUSA at Paso Robles High School, the North County Women’s Shelter, Mission San Miguel, and the CAPs School program in Atascadero to name a few. Arnold noted that Moresco lends his time to both the local community and industry organizations, having served as president for both the California Building Industry Association and the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. He is a member of the Hall of Fame for the California Building Industry Foundation. In accepting the award, Moresco expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to live and work on the Central Coast, and thanked the Atascadero Chamber for the honor and for its efforts to uplift and support the business community in Atascadero. |
